Who this is between
ORYS is provided by Samuga Creative Pvt Ltd, Malé, Maldives. When somebody creates an organisation on ORYS, the agreement is between us and that organisation - not with the individual who happened to sign up.
What you are agreeing to do
Use ORYS for your own organisation’s staff. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. Do not try to reach another organisation’s records. Make sure the people whose records you put in here know that you hold them.
The free period, and paying
The first three months are free. After that we agree a monthly rate with you based on the size of your organisation, and it will never be more than MVR 2,800 a month. Nothing switches itself off at the end of the free period - somebody will talk to you first.
Your records are yours
Everything you put into ORYS belongs to you. You can download a complete copy - staff, attendance, leave, payslips, settings and the activity log - as one spreadsheet, at any time, without asking us. If you stop using ORYS, take your copy first; we will give you a reasonable period to do it.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, share it with anybody else, or use it to train anything. We cannot read your staff records: each organisation is sealed off inside the database itself, not by a promise. Our support team can see that your organisation exists and how many staff you have. Not their names, not their salaries.
Getting it right is still your job
ORYS calculates what you tell it to calculate. The pension percentages, overtime rates, minimum wage and leave entitlements are all yours to set, and the defaults we ship are common Maldivian figures rather than legal advice. Check them against the Employment Act and your own rules. We are not responsible for a payroll that was wrong because the settings were wrong.
When things break
We will keep ORYS running and fix what breaks as quickly as we can, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. Take your backups. If ORYS causes you a loss, what we owe you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous three months.
Stopping
You can stop using ORYS whenever you like, and we will not hold your records hostage. We can close an organisation that is using ORYS for something it should not be, or that has not paid after we have asked - we will tell you first and give you time to take your data.
Changes to these terms
If we change anything here that matters, we will tell you inside ORYS before it takes effect. Maldivian law applies.
