How ORYS backs up your data
Every night, automatically. And once a month, we check that the backup actually works.

Your staff records, leave, attendance and payroll live in ORYS. Here is how we keep a copy of them, and how we make sure that copy can be used.
Every night
At 2:00 am Maldives time, ORYS makes a full backup of the database. The backup is locked with a password before it is stored. We keep the last 30 days.
At 2:30 am, a separate backup runs for uploaded files, such as documents and scans. We keep the last 14 days.
Both run automatically. Nobody has to start them.
Once a month
A backup only matters if it can be restored. So once a month, ORYS takes the newest backup, loads it into a separate temporary database, and checks that the data matches the live system.
Uploaded files are tested the same way, on their own schedule.
What this means for you
If something ever goes wrong, there is a recent, tested copy to go back to. You don't need to do anything to set this up. It is on for every company from the first day.
ORYS is built by Samuga Creative Pvt Ltd, Malé.
